Is it Abuse? Yes, if...

  1. You're walking on eggshells. You are confused, don't know why.
  2. You're depressed, don't know why.
  3. You don't know what's wrong with you: You feel alone in the relationship.
  4. Victims prioritize abuser feelings at the cost of their own feelings. They comply despite disagreeing, too afraid of their abuser to question, comment, or inform, which are all heard as challenges.
  5. You are afraid to speak up, but don't know why, feel frequently stunned, caught off guard, confused.
  6. You feel disparaged, minimized, a burden, disrespected, rejected.
  7. You are afraid of your partner. Feel emotionally crippled, psychologically blocked, threatened with harm.

Emotional Abuse undermines self-esteem, confidence, motivation, autonomy, identity, and independence with daily, insidious brainwashing. 


Verbal Abuse replays internally, immobilizes you with doubt and fear.


Property Abuse and Pet Abuse are Emotional Abuse. It engenders feelings of helplessness, cripples your personal empowerment.

Is it trauma? Yes, if...

  1. You find yourself obsessing. If can't stop thinking about something painful, you've been triggered.
  2. You have a fear or phobia of something and don't know why.
  3. You feel depressed and don't know why.
  4. You want to exit unpleasant relationships or work circumstances but can't.
  5. You don't feel good enough but don't know why.
  6. You have a fear of failure and a fear of success.
  7. You need to plan for everything to have control of everything.
  8. You have a strong adverse reaction to an event and don't know why.
  9. You have/had repetitive bad dreams or a repetitive bad dream.
