Our Promise

Compulsions, addictions, low esteem, anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress symptoms, when resolved change life dynamics. Productive behaviors tend to emerge in relationships and situations.   Treatment is customized to achieve your goals, to expedite your journey to be who you want to be.

I provided Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for 25 years, Modified Incidental Teaching, Floor Time, cognitive-play therapy, disabilities therapy  for 15 years before moving into rapid resolution trauma therapies and LENS since 2013.   Addressing the root of trauma, quickly and effortlessly, frees us from entrenched reactive patterns." -

A cancellation notice is required at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. Same-day cancellation is $45. When we are not given sufficient time to fill a vacancy, waitlisted patients must wait longer and the hour cannot be billed.  A $45 no-show/same-day cancellation invoice is emailed.

Our Treatment Focus

We use rapid resolution trauma techniques to resolve lifelong trauma in a session to lift depression, calm anxiety.. Progress is expedited by improving brain function with LENS.  Three rapid trauma resolution technologies support individual needs: EMDR, BSP, or TFT/EFT resolve causal trauma to eliminate triggers, unpredictable, uncontrollable, overwhelming negative emotions.

We do not work with Personality Disorder or Psychosis. We reserve the right to discontinue services to anyone. Inappropriate, manipulative or abusive behavior, declining to pay their bill, needing long term services, unable to abide by our protocol are some reasons we have closed cases.

By resolving causal trauma, entrenched behaviors and old patterns disappear, allowing you to think through to create more productive, behaviors, effective strategies, versus reacting.

Contained trauma can be resolved with EMDR typically in 1-3 sessions depending on issue complexity and your processing speed. Trauma processing may enliven a past trauma which fades as processing continues. When repressed trauma surfaces, it can be resolved.

Medications: Anxiolytics, anti-depressants, psychotropics, mood stabilizers, bipolar medications, etc. block complete trauma resolution requiring reprocessing trauma. Residual emotions may surface the following weeks requiring 3-5 reprocessing sessions to resolve a trauma when w/o medication one session is permanent. It can take 2-months for medications to clear from your system.

We communicate predominantly in text,  Unconfirmed texted reminders  are reassigned. Reminders texted Sunday/Monday; must be confirmed by Wednesday.

An initial orientation is telehealth. Questions, background, preparing trauma(s) for EMDR, preparing for LENS, determining dx and methodology occur. EMDR, BSP, TFT, or LENS are used in office sessions.. We do not provide long term therapy.  We refer clients needing long-term CBT to CBT therapists.

Procedure for scheduling

1. Pls register.  Upon receiving your registration we text you an initial telehealth appointment.  This spares you parking in downtown Honolulu while we collect information and answer your questions after you've read the website.   This orientation, to determine if our services are appropriate for you, usually takes at least 45 minutes. Pls do not  call unscheduled for consult.

2. If after reading the website and having the initial telehealth we determine we can provide a benefit to you, and you decide our approaches may be beneficial, we schedule an in-office appointment.

3.  Parking in downtown Honolulu is challenging, even after reading 'Parking' and knowing your options. If you park at Alii Place, the cheapest parking, pls allow time to walk a few blocks to our office.

4. We are located in Century Square, 1188 Bishop St. #2904. Office appointments are for clinical work as LENS, EMDR, BSP that require in-person attendance.  CBT consults are scheduled Thursdays.

5.  To do LENS complete 3-questionnaires at www.ochslabs.com: go to LENS clinical forms, then Online forms, Use the same email as on your registration. Automatic  upload can take 48 hr.  Following each LENS, rerate your top 10 LENS issues in 48 hr at www.ochslabs.com.  These rerated issues provide a scale of your progress.

6.To do trauma therapy record the earliest and worst traumas:

 1) age it occurred,

 2) 0-10 rating in severity,

 3) briefest summary.

Following trauma therapy you may notice your responses differ from reactions prior trauma therapy.  This is permanent but it doesn't prevent you  creating  new traumas.  An old trauma can seem to reoccur if you continue to be exposed to the same traumatization, as with a  family member with  personality disorder.
